Next Gen Services, Ltd acted as the masonry contractor when the Chicago Public Schools was scheduled for an interior and exterior renovation in 2020. The 1950s vintage building’s façade had suffered from the effects of aging and required exterior masonry repairs to prevent continuing deterioration. NGS tasks included rebuilding all the school’s window heads, introducing modern flashing systems, rebuilding portions of the clay tile areas and repairing the bottoms of exterior pilasters. Interior masonry work was also performed, and centered around repairing numerous cracked and spalled glazed tile wall tiles at areas of previous water infiltration. NGS’ skilled craftsmen delivered highest quality repairs under a strict time deadline and maintained while staying within the CPS budget.
